Restaurant and Wine bar Arvo

Arvo is a traditional Finnish male name, and it also translates into added value.
The name was suggested by two of School of Business students, and we received great reasoning for the name:

‘It is crucial that the space in the BIZ building somehow reflects the goal and nature of a business student. Arvo provides just that: we business students, no matter the major, are here to learn to create value. Value is in us: it is what we need to find, emphasize and protect, the ultimate goal of any business student. Arvo is also likely something that the restaurant wants to create for all Aalto people.’

Café Kylteri

Kylteri is a traditional nickname for a student of School of Business (Kauppatieteiden ylioppilas).
The name was suggested by two School of Business students and one member of faculty.
One could say that the name Café Kylteri was an easy pick, but according to our Jury, it was important to bring a BIZ term to Otaniemi campus:

‘We wanted choose a name that would stand out for us in Otaniemi. Kylteri is just that: historical and strong.’ Timo Saarinen, Chair of the Jury.
